PhoneValla is designed to work without requiring an account. This policy explains the information the current version of PhoneValla uses and how it is handled.

Information used by the phone checkup

When you run a checkup, PhoneValla uses selections such as your phone platform, wireless carrier and protection goals to retrieve the guidance that applies to you. Those selections may pass through our hosting provider as part of normal web requests.

Your individual Yes, No and “I'm not sure” answers are stored in your browser so PhoneValla can calculate and display your results. The current checkup does not intentionally send those answers to Airtable or require them to be associated with your name or email address.

Contact form information

If you contact PhoneValla, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, inquiry type and message. Contact submissions are processed and stored by Netlify Forms and may be forwarded to our email provider so we can respond. Netlify recommends that site owners actively manage and delete form submissions that contain personal information when they are no longer needed.

Local storage

PhoneValla uses browser local storage to keep your checkup selections and results available while you move through the experience. You can remove that data by clearing site data in your browser.

Analytics

PhoneValla uses Plausible Analytics to understand how people use the site and where the checkup can be improved. PhoneValla's tracking is intentionally limited to aggregate usage and product events such as page views, checkup starts, completions, device or carrier selections, guide-to-checkup clicks, sharing actions and contact-form completion.

The PhoneValla analytics layer does not intentionally send your individual protection answers, protection score, name, email address, contact-form message, or other text you type into the service.

Cookies and advertising

The current version of PhoneValla does not use advertising cookies and does not sell personal information. If we later add advertising, accounts, payments or other features that materially change our data practices, this policy will be updated.

Third-party services and links

PhoneValla links to official resources from organizations such as Apple, Google, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, the FCC and the FTC. Those organizations operate their own websites and privacy practices. PhoneValla also uses Netlify for hosting, serverless functions and form processing, and Airtable to maintain the protection-guidance catalog.

Data retention

We keep contact submissions only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate business records, address abuse or support the service. We may periodically delete older submissions.

Children

PhoneValla is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly ask children under 13 to submit personal information.

Your choices

You may use the phone checkup without creating an account. You can clear locally stored checkup data through your browser. If you have a privacy question or want us to review information you submitted through the contact form, use the contact page.

Changes to this policy

PhoneValla may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
